What “Local Files” means

Stremio can act as a front-end for media you already own (personal videos, home movies, legally obtained files).

Best folder structure (simple)

• Movies/
  • Movie Title (Year).mp4
• Series/
  • Show Name/
    • Season 01/
      • S01E01 - Episode Title.mkv

Playback tips

• Prefer wired storage or fast local network
• Keep filenames consistent
• If subtitles are separate files, keep them next to the video with matching names
